What is the purpose of this Donation Policy?
This Donation Policy aims to establish guidelines for donations and sponsorships made by Mombora Indústria e Comércio de Alimentos Ltda. ("Mombora"), based on the basic principles of transparency, integrity, and legality.
All donations made must have clear purposes and be duly formalized through contracts between Mombora and the chosen beneficiary institutions.
What is a donation?
Donation is the act of providing goods, exclusively allowed for social purposes, after evaluating its appropriateness, impact, and socio-economic convenience. The rules applicable to the legal relationship of the donation can be found in the Law (Civil Code).
Who will be the beneficiary?
The beneficiary is the entity receiving the donation, carefully chosen by the Mombora team, which will observe, throughout the selection process, whether the beneficiary's principles align with the purpose and objective of the donation.
Mombora will ensure that the donation does not benefit, directly or indirectly, (i) any individual with decision-making power within Mombora, (ii) or any entity linked to the public authorities.
What are the guidelines for donations?
Mombora will ensure that all donations align with its values and visions, with the main objective of supporting actions that:
(i) value the promotion of citizenship and human development;
(ii) carry out social insertions of communities that can benefit from the donations;
(iii) promote social responsibility; and
(iv) support, among other activities related to culture, the development of sports activities.
In line with item "(iv)" above, the development of sports activities is understood as supporting sports projects that promote and stimulate collective activities, as well as enable community well-being.
How will consent be obtained?
Donations to chosen institutions, even through gifts, can only be made with the full consent of the Mombora customer, unequivocally and transparently.
The details of the project that will benefit from the Mombora customer's donation will be specifically described at the time of the donation.
